I will have some new work at the Wexler Gallery in Philadelphia.  Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the opening, but I hope you'll stop by if you're in town.

In correlation with Fiber Philadelphia 2012, Wexler Gallery will proudly present Narrative Thread, a group exhibition exploring innovative stitching and assemblage techniques.  The exhibition will address multiple understandings of identity, story telling, domestic work, and domestic objects. 

The show will take place on the second floor of the gallery and will run from March 2nd through April 28th.  Additional information about Fiber Philadelphia 2012 can be found at www.fiberphiladelphia.org.

Ox & Bull for Jenny

A set of crayons I did for Jenny Hart back in December.  We did a trade and I got a wonderful embroidery of Guy, see previous post.  It's a carving of an ox and bull.

Jenny Hart's Art

I got this beautiful embroidery from Jenny Hart today!  I've long admired her work and jumped at the chance to do a trade with her.  I made a set of crayons for Jenny and I asked her to do a portrait of Guy.


Thank you Jenny, we love it!  This will be my husband's birthday gift.  We'll add this to our "Wall of Guy", a collection of work featuring our dog... all made by friends and fellow artists.

Uppercase #11 Carving A Niche

The fine folks at Uppercase published an article about my work in Uppercase 11 and they chose my work for the cover! This issue came out in December, I'm just getting around to posting it.  If you're interested you can find back issues on their website and Anthropologie carries them in North America.

This is a beautiful magazine, full of wonderful articles and project tutorials.  Get yours now, issue 12 is out now.  The green insert is an advert, it's paper that has seeds embedded in the pulp.  I'm going to plant it come spring.  I've found something that delighted me in every issue, like this seed paper.
