Crayons in US Cellular Commercial!!!
I was commissioned by Publicis & Hal Riney to work on a US Cellular commercial. It was a great collaborative experience. I LOVE the result, the shots, the music, everything! I believe the commercial will air this month nationwide. Unfortunately not in Seattle, but you can view it here! This is a 30 sec spot and starts about 10 seconds in... the earlier video I posted has been put on hold for now until it airs. :)
A great big thanks to:
Adam Koppel, Richard North and Debbie Chin of Hal Riney Publicis.
Kevin Berve the wonderful gentleman who did the molds and melting... I'm glad we had a chance to connect. I hope you and your wife get to visit Vietnam one of these days!

ReplyDeleteThanks Mandy :)
ReplyDeleteGood seeing today in Ballard!
They can't include my name because of time and other constraints... usually commercials don't have credits. But if it's mentioned in any formal matter then they'd credit me for the crayons.
From my experience and conversations with the team I worked with they are a company of high integrity. They've worked with other artists before and I think it's a path they're not afraid to go down.
I really like the Beringer wine commercial they did with paper cutting animation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFtoLBaJPS0
Congratulations! I was sitting at a bar in Milwaukee, and a guy next to me said, "Look at those cool carved crayons." OMG! It was so exciting to see your work so far from home.
